The Japanese MoD announced that it had selected the new assault rifle and the new gun for the needs of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces.
The Japanese MOD in 2020 will purchase 3,283 new Howa assault rifles for $ 9.2 million and 323 H&K SFP9 guns for $ 280,000.
The bid for the new rifle included HK416 (runner-up) and Scar (third place classified). In the BID of the gun the Beretta APX is second classified and the Glcok 17 is third classified.
